Ground Floor

Kitchen

4.90m x 4.40m
This nice cottage is entered from the side and directly into the kitchen. It has a ceramic floor, fitted kitchen with breakfast bar, a log burner, double glazed window to the side, stairs to the first floor and an opening leading into the reception room.

Reception

3.50m x 4.40m
Opposite is the reception room which offers a wooden floor, open fireplace and a double glazed window to the front.

First Floor

Bedroom

5.90m x 4.30m
The wooden stairs lead up to the first floor. There is a large double bedroom with a new, wooden floor, velux window and exposed beams. There is a door leading to the bathroom.

Bathroom

There is a good sized bathroom on this floor. It has a bath, WC, washbasin, separate shower cubicle, storage on both sides and a velux window.

Sous-Sol

Garage

8.40m x 4.40m
The house also comes with an underfloor known as a sous-sol in France. This is one big room in the cottage and is currently being used as a garage. It has a garage door to the side, a dirt floor and a pvc door leading to the front garden. There is no access to the house from this area.

Garden

Attached to the cottage and all to the front is the garden. It is obvious from the photos and video that this really needs clearing of all the brambles, but once cleared would have some lovely views of the nearby woodland. There is an outbuilding in the garden but I was unable to access it.

Overview

This is a lovely cottage in a peaceful village. It needs some restoration, but is in pretty good condition, considering it has been empty for many years. It has new electrics and a new wooden floor upstairs. There is double glazing, a garage, mains drainage and a garden area. The local village has a lovely bar/restaurant which sadly has not re-opened since lock down, so we are hoping someone will buy it soon. Please ask if you would like to see the video of the cottage.
